Directing Mail to server

Is there any way to direct the system to use a mail relay for sending e-mail instead of relying on the MTA in the system? I ask because we have the OTRS system setup inside our network behind our firewall and several of our e-mails get blocked when we send to our sister domains. The Spam filter cannot resolve the DNS name of our internal server because we do not point it to our internal DNS servers for resolution. Therefore, it does not the find a valid pointer to the OTRS server and blocks the mail as Spam. Bakari A. Hello, I have been asked to find a replacement for our current Help Desk software and have a shortlist of products to review. I am impressed with OTRS, but I need to make a case to my IT Director, particularly as Open Source software is new to this company. Are there any UK users out there who are willing to act as a reference site that I can visit to see OTRS in action? Thank you. Moving attachments/html messages to special queue

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has developed a procmail rule to put any e-mail messages with an attachment or that are in HTML into a special queue. Does anyone have any ideas on how to go about doing this? Thanks, Paul

Adding BCC field for ticket reply email

Hi OTRS people, First, I am new to the list, so please be kind. [grin] I have tried a couple of different things trying to add a BCC field to the ticket response email page. So far I haven't figured out how to do it. This seems like it should be a simple thing to do, and we really need to be able to send copies to internal people without the client seeing all the additional emails (they tend to want to reply to them all, creating excess traffic). The global BCC doesn't work for us because we have different people needing to be BCCed depending on the content and client. I can see the code in the Sendmail.pm module for handling BCC's, so I assume it can be done, but how? I am a fairly experienced perl programmer, but I am getting lost among the various OTRS modules. If someone could point me in the right direction to get this done, I would be most appreciative. Thanks in advance. - Richard Stockton

Hi list I have i see the page the administration,but when it finishes down of the tables i see the following messages Forbidden You don't have permission to access /otrs/ on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/2.0.40 Server at 192.168.10.20 Port 80 i hope can to help me Thanks you

Receiving Email via Pop3

Hey Guys, thanks for the help again. It solved my problem partially. Right now I can write emails, but I cannot receive them. My settings should be correct since I am sending my emails with the same address I am receiving them. I also know that there are emails at that pop3 account, since I can get them by using an email client. I was wondering if this problem has anything to do with perl. If I go to http://localhost, Hello World will not work even thought the date and numbers scripts are working, Thanks in advance, Andi Bublitz
