My head is sore!

Thats what comes of bashing it against the wall :-) I had everything running nicely and then decided to do a CVS. I am quite used to CVS and so it should not have been a problem. Anyhow, I removed everything and started again. Now I have an error when trying to get the database initialised. Every time I try it says access for user root@localhost denied. I am not running X as root of course. Should I be running as otrs or something? Ian

When I switched over to the filesystem, all of my attachments were corrupt. They all appeared to be encoded wrong or something. As root, I just issue the command: #>rcotrs restart and that starts my cron for me. I thought it also set the cron to run as the correct user - no? Customising OTRS

Folks, How do I go about tweeking the interface; I've started putting in corporate logos and Suchlike but does anyone have any tips on setting colours etc? Also, I've noticed that the Outlook priority marking is lost when the emails get to OTRS. Any idea how to get around this? Customers have finally been trained to use the correct priority markings and we'd hate to lose the functionality! Cron daemon flooding me with messages

I currently have 38,000 mail messages in my root mailbox. I have received them in less than a month's time. The majority come from the OTRS cron daemon. Can someone please tell me how to make this stop? Ian, under the admin area, misc section (far right) goto "Session Management".
