Hi We have reached a large amount of tickets and articles in our system. This makes free text searches slow and demanding. Our first step to limit the problem was to change all tables from MyISAM to InnoDB. This removes the locking issue presented by 30 second long searches. Now we want to make searching for tickets an easier job on the system. We are looking into different methods to do this and have come to the conclusion that limiting the timeframe for searches must be the way to go. The big issue here is setting a limit of e.g. 2 months as a "default" for all searches. It should be as simple as setting the default form values. Is there a way to do this? Best regards Are Hoel

What is different between shared hosting install w/ SSH vs root access install?

Hello. What is different between shared hosting installation with SSH access vs root access install? Changing owner and groups can be accomplished from those who have root access, but user's account cannot be added to webserver group. Also, is it necessary to have the webhost modify the server's httpd.conf as outlined in the webserver installation instructions? Thanks in advance.

Change incoming Folder

OTRS logs

Hello All, I have some questions about OTRS logs: - We made a fresh installation of our OTRS and the recurent following message in OTRS logs: "notice OTRS-PM3-10 Can't find notification for Agent::NewTicket and fr, try it again with en!" What does this message means? - We also have this message: " error OTRS-CGI-10 Need ID or Name!" Does it means that someone tryied to connect and couldn't? - Also, how is it possible to have more messages shown in the system log window under OTRS? Access to 1 Queue by Customer

Hi friends, How can i restrict on cumtomer ticket panel to show only one queue. I've created a queue e.g. NOC and in noc thr r 3 super users, when a customer logs on and create a ticket it only show NOC queue and after the client submits ticket, one of the super user will check the ticket and assign to a group. only super users can assign, change or modify tickets and users can only view and reply tickets after completing. thankyou all, Ronny

customer authentication with hashed passwords

Hello all, I'm keen to set up customer authentication with our external MS SQL Server db. I only problem is that we hash our customer passwords. I'm sure there will be a way around this, or perhaps someone has already done it. If anyone has any pointers they would be very welcome. Also since this my first post I would like to thank everyone that has had something to do with OTRS.
