Dear All, For your information, this annoying bug was fixed by the latest update... but if you are still using 2.03, then look at bug 863 on bug.otrs.org. It shows a fix that works. Remember to restart apache after, because it seems to keep the old version in memory until restarted. Dear All, Sorry if this has been answered before, I have trawled the list and can't find a solution. After an FAQ item is attached, or even looked at from within the reply to customer screen, the next page that is displayed after the response is sent is the FAQ search page not the Queue page. I like the function, but have seen that page so many times I hate it. There is an added annoyance in that there are no buttons at the top of the page, so you have to click back twice on the browser to get back to the Queue page. Its probably some little setting that needs to be altered. While I am on FAQ's, is there a away to automatically attach FAQ attachments to the response. It seems to leave these out - if not it would be a good enhancement. Hi Daniel Thanks for your feeback. I did setup the POP3 accounts in the Admin Interface. As for the cron jobs , I think you should be able to run it in a batch job (I'm running Linux so not familiar with the win32 ver) :) HTH. Yep, you've got it - I played around with Group settings! I done a quick search for Config.pm and found 9 in different dirs. Hmmm , did you fiddle around with the Group settings by any chance? Best would be to set your Security to 0 in Config.pm , and start over :P Maybe create a "superuser" account to avoid such things... Admin button gone for root@localhost

I've been 'playing' with OTRS 2.0.4 (installed on a Windows platform). Logged in as root@localhost and through the Admin menu, I setup many system-wide settings. I rebooted my server, logged in again as root@localhost and the "Admin" button has disappeared! Aaahhh, now I can't continue with the system setup - what have I done wrong and how can I fix it? Many thanks for your help.

I have installed OTRS 2.0.4 on a Windows platform. In our environment, we have an Exchange 2003 server which collects emails from POP3 accounts at an ISP. In OTRS, I have configured some POP3 accounts via the admin interface (PostMaster POP3 Account). Now I am ready to collect mails (either from the Exchange server or ISP), but I don't know how! I've read that one can manually execute "./bin/PostMasterPOP3.pl" or setup a cron job for "var/cron/postmaster_pop3.dist", but in a Windows environment, I don't know how to do this. I would really appreciate your feedback - I am totally new to OTRS - please go easy with me ;O)

Re: Active Directory/LDAP authentication problem

Make sure you understand your schema and can test the results (returned records) you want using LDIFDE.EXE from Windows. That was the key to my success. I was able to get OTRS to connect to our AD LDAP and only get the 2,000 or so records from our OU out of a domain of over 10,000 records. Make sure you have the e-mail field in AD filled in. That set me back a while. Since we use Notes the e-mail field was empty and we had to fill them in with the correct address to get it work right. The instructions in the 1.3 manual are right one.... Good Luck!
