I'm getting the same problem. After changing the authentication type in my OTRS installation, httpd fails on start up. The error message I'm getting is; [Tue Feb 07 13:11:08 2006] [error] syntax error at /opt/otrs//Kernel/Config.pm line 122, near "$Self"\nCompilation failed in require at /opt/otrs/scripts/apache2-perl-startup.pl line 28.\nBEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /opt/otrs/scripts/apache2-perl-startup.pl line 28.\nCompilation failed in require at (eval 2) line 1.\n [Tue Feb 07 13:11:08 2006] [error] Can't load Perl file: /opt/otrs/scripts/apache2-perl-startup.pl for server webdev2.allstatefastener.loca:0, exiting... Line 122 in my config.pm is: $Self->{'SecureMode'} = 1; Line 28 in my startup.pl is: use Kernel::Config; Can anyone help me out with this one? I just got done installing all the require perl modules, but it still fails. Hmmm... NEWBIE HELP regarding escalation notification

Hi, Can you please tell me how to add escalation notification to the users in otrs. Actually escalated notifications are sent to agents who locked the call but I want it to be sent to some other id. Can you please tell me where to change this. OTRS Reporting modules

Hello otrs, Does any one implemented any advanced reporting system in order to monitor: - operators activity: number of worked tickets; accounted time; login time; escalated tickets; etc ... - SLA; - first call resolution; - any other useful CS indicators; I think this should be next big move for OTRS, to improve the reporting system. Hi all. where i can see the manual like "getting started" for OTRS, with description for typical steps for configure some things and expamples of configuration? in pdf manual from default installation i can't find it.... there described only few words about each element of interface (in "admin area" part, for example), and so on. but I can't find description about user-group-queue-role relations (what are I interested first) .... -- Mike Lykov ISP Samtelecom, Administrator

Creating User as Customer

Hi, I want to create users as customers also as some of these users may require services which other customers may be looking. I have noticed that, the users are not visible as customers and the call coordinator is not allowed to raise tickers on behalf of these users. I would like to know whether some one has come across this situation and solved this problem. Thanks, Prafulla

no mail exchanger found error

Hello, I'm running OTRS 2.0 on a SuSE Linux system. When I go in to the new ticket web page and search on a customer, I get the following error: customer(a)company.com (no mail exchanger (mx) found!) I googled this and couldn't find anything useful. Is this a bug? How do I go about diagnosing and fixing this? Thanks, Braun Brelin

can you list the error message in /etc/httpd/logs/error_log related the last run of apache ? also list the otrs.conf you are using under /etc/httpd/conf.d by remo
