Hi guys is there a way to set the default preferences that should be set for a newly created user? I use LDAP authentication so I don't manually create users inside OTRS, but I would need that new users have all the notifications enabled by default and I can't find how to do it in SysConfig as I did with the theme and language. Alternatively, maybe there's a way to configure the AuthSyncModule to set the db fields: UserSendMoveNotification UserSendFollowUpNotification UserSendNewTicketNotification UserSendLockTimeoutNotification to "1" when syncing users? -- Claudio Tassini

Can´t dump mysql to create backup of otrs database

Hi there, I need to make a backup of the OTRS Database but I always get this error: Got packet bigger than 'max_allowed_packet' bytes when dumping table `article_attachment` at row: 39045 The packed size for mysql is set to 256 MB which was before 128 MB. Can anyone help me to workaraound this problem to geht things working again. E-mail notifications failing

Hi I'm having some trouble with the e-mail notifications, to be more specific the following error occurs: "Recipient address rejected: unverified address: Address verification in progress ! Enable Net::SMTP debug for more info!" Can anyone help me with this? Big help with otrs on centos+cpanel

Hi, i'm trying to install otrs on a centos 5.4 machine which has cpanel. I've tried with the rpm file, but it doesn't install becuase it miss dependencies (some aren't in the rep and it cannot find them). So i've started to install it using the sources, but it's even worst. I've followed the manual, but i'm stuck at the 3.2.3. chapter (Configuring the apache web server). How should i configure apache as i've cpanel? (and i'd like that it keep the config, and not reset them at the upgrades) Do you have any howto for otrs+cpanel? with google i haven't found nothing Thank you

OTRS 2.4.7 : date of creation vs date of last modification

Hi, Just a remark ... and a question ! In the view medium and preview, the date on the up right is not the creation date but the date of the last modification. (cool feature by the way!) I replaced "created" by "last modified" in a theme. Annex question: where can I enter the "last modification" translation (as if I change to french for example I still got "last modified" and not " dernière modification"). I understand I have to enter the text somewhere but did not find where !!!
