Hi , new to the list so bare with me. Installed the beta4 ver of otrs2.0 on WinXP machine , but when I try and access the login page through my fqdn I get "Forbidden You don't have permission to access /otrs/index.pl on this server." , yet when I access it with localhost/otrs/index.pl all works fine. I'm posting my httpd.conf file as well. I think it might be a permissions issue. Do I need to add a "otrs" user to my Users ? I realize we are quite close to the actual release of 2.0. I have been running 2.0 beta for a couple of weeks now, and the improvements are great! However, I have one minor feature request -- although it may turn out NOT to be all that minor. We use a single email address for sending requests into the system (support(a)ourdomain.com) Of course, each tech has their own (personal) email account, which is the account set up in the webmail interface for OTRS. How about a way to, from the webmail interface of OTRS, forward a request into the system as a new ticket, using the original sender's email address for the ticket-information? -- Mark J. How to change the field "From"in the empty answer ?

Hi everybody, When I am in a ticket zoom view and i want to make an empty answer, the field "From" is filled with OTRS System <otrs@localhost> * invalid otrs@localhost (fqdn)! I do not understand why and i do not succeed to change it. Is anyone can explain me ? Thanks. Nicolas

What customer permissions needed to see own tickets

I am somewhat confused about the permissions model used in OTRS. I have a queue named "Main". One of the settings for this queue is Group which I have set to the group "helpdesk". The "helpdesk" group is a small group of staff who are supposed to answer the tickets. I am not sure what setting the queue Main to this group means (as far as I can tell, this is not explained anywhere in the documentation). But now I have "customers" who submit problems to the "helpdesk" queue but cannot see their tickets when they log in to the customer screen. Why not? Do they have to be added to the "helpdesk" group? If so, doesn't that mean that they could then act as agents and see other customers tickets? Thanks.

Web error

I'm getting a web error, and I can't figure out what it means or how to fix it. "Redirection limit for this url exceeded. unable to load the requested page. This may be caused by cookies that are blocked." I'm guessing that this is a problem in apache, but I'm not positive. I get it when I try to log into the system, otherwise it seems like I can get to index.pl and installer.pl fine. Although I don't need to get to installer.pl. I just tried playing with installer.pl, and I can't even delete/create the database. It seems like there might be more going on than I think. Oh, this is for the otrs 2 beta 4. Hello How can I change the contents of the default "empty answer" (available when zoomed in to a ticket, Compose Answer(email) * empty answer). I keep getting users sending thank-you emails back, which open up new tickets etc, I just want to add a line asking them not to do this. Thanks, H
