Customer interface customisation

Hi, I'm trying to customise the Customers' user interface. I already copied the needed dtl files to .../Output/HTML/<theme> and activated the theme into the database. All of this works, but I want to do the following thing: In the Customers' user interface, I see the following "links" in the NavBar: Logout - New Ticket - MyTickets - CompanyTickets - Search - FAQ-Area - Preferences. I want to remove the "links" CompanyTickets and Search. How...??? Reason: We don't want that a user can see someone else's tickets. (for confidentiality reasons) I already de-activated the CompanyTickets view, but he can still search and then the tickets are shown. So I need to be able to de-activate the ticket search functionality as well. Regards, C.

Migration from Jitterbug to OTRS script available...

Hi everyone, Our group is moving from a very out-dated Jitterbug email system to OTRS. For this purpose, I have developed a perl script to import all jitterbug emails into OTRS for archival and search purposes. It creates all the required articles/threads to each corresponding ticket. A couple of freetext fields are created for jitterbug ticket id, audit, notes and notify fields from jitterbug. If u need this script, please email me. Best Regards, Niran.

The logic behind CustomerTicket::Permission###1-CustomerUserIDCheck and similar config

Hi all, I'm trying to better understand the logic behind the configuration in the Core::Ticket config section. The problem was to allow all the Customer Users of the same Customer Company to see all the ticket for that Company, the default configuration seems to not allow this. We have defined a group for every Customer Company, put all the Customer Users in that group with ro and rw privileges and associated the Queue to that group. So I've modified this: CustomerTicket::Permission###1-CustomerUserIDCheck: Granted = 0 Module = Kernel::System::Ticket::CustomerPermission::CustomerIDCheck Required = 0 (it was 1 by default) and now it seems that all the Customers of the same company can see the ticket. What is the logic behind granted and required? I've tried with Granted=1 and Required=1 (as my logic would suggest ;-) but it did not work. TIA. Cheers, Luca

expand zoom view for customers

Hi all, one new feature in otrs is the expand zoom view feature. But it is only available in the agent webinterface. With this function it is possible to see all articles of a ticket at once. it is configurable in the config Frontend::Agent::Ticket::ViewZoom. We need this function for our customer webinterface too. Can someone explain me the way to do that, because i find no possibility to do that by configuring the system. Kind regards Thorsten

Setting default TO: field in customer ticket

Hi all, I modified some of the Customer Interface settings (only viewing the "external" queues in the New Ticket interface of the customer), which all succeeeded, but I'm looking to set 1 default queue. For the moment, I have the "new ticket" page with a dropdown TO: field. I'd like to replace the standard "-" by the first entry in the list (or something else) Regards, C.
