I'm getting the following complaint in my OTRS log, "SMTP authentication failed! Enable debug for more info!" but I haven't a clue how to set debug! Thanks, Steve

How to set date header in otrs mail ?

Hi all, As anyone have an idea how to set date header in mail sent by otrs ? My SMTP server (I don't have acces to it) don't put date header in sent mail. Is it possible to set it by otrs ? I try to modifiy SMTP.pm to put date header but without results. As anyone have an idea ? To do this, all you have to do is take out the reference to kernel::config, and replace it with a do command on the correct config file. I replaced all of them in each .pm, but I am not sure if you have to do all of them. We are running 3 instances under modperl This forces it to read the config file every time as opposed to using the one saved in memory. The installation of multiple OTRS-systems is no problem if you use the CGI-integration in your webserver - I have no idea how a multiple installation can be achieved by using mod_perl. I just on cPanel hosting only. So that i have to install from source.tar.gz. OK i will read documentation. Hand installation of calendar package

For reasons that I have not been able to resolve, I am getting an error ERROR: OTRS-CGI-10 Perl: 5.8.4 OS: linux Time: Thu Apr 27 16:44:14 2006 Message: ??? Traceback (25138): Module: Kernel::System::Web::InterfaceAgent::Run (v1.8) Line: 204 Module: /usr/share/otrs/bin/cgi-bin/index.pl (v1.80) Line: 47 In light of this, I have downloaded the Calendar-1.4.3.opm by hand, but I don't know how to actually install it so that it works. I have looked at the innards, and can see where files get placed, and that they are uuencoded, but is there an auto-magic way to do it all at once, rather than having to edit it all into bite-sized pieces?

Trying to access the package mangager

When I try to access the package manager I receive: Software Error: ERROR: Need write permission in OTRS home Try: $OTRS_HOME/bin/SetPermissions.sh !!! I am running SuSE10 DVD 64bit. I have ran the script SetPermissions.sh as root the following: cd /opt/otrs/bin ./SetPermissions.sh /opt/otrs otrs wwwrun root www So what do I need to do here. If there is a manual way I can set the file permissions to fix this that will be fine. What specific directory does the package manager need write access to? And what user needs to have access to it?
