OTRS::ITSM 1.1.0 RC1 (Whitehaven Beach) is released!

Dear Community Members, +++++++++++++++++++++++++ Release Note ++++++++++++++++++++++++ We are proud to announce that our Release Candidate (RC) OTRS::ITSM 1.1.0 RC1(Whitehaven Beach) has been released today. This is still a beta release of OTRS::ITSM 1.1. which is not recommended to use for productive operation. Beta releases are published for test purposes only. OTRS::ITSM is the first ITIL compliant IT service management solution on open-source basis. It is built on the solid fundament of 55,000 OTRS productive installations in 24 languages. OTRS::ITSM 1.1.0 RC1 requires the installation of the Open Ticket Request System OTRS version 2.2.6. All functionalities known from OTRS continue to be available and the functionalities representing ITIL processes can be installed as additional packages. New OTRS FAQ 1.3.1 module released!

Dear Community Members, +++++++++++++++++++++++++ Release Note ++++++++++++++++++++++++ We are proud to announce that an enhanced FAQ 1.3.1 module has been released today. The module may be installed on all OTRS releases by simply using the OTRS package manager. Enhancement: ============ * FAQs may be inserted at a cursors position in a mail body while composing messages to the customer * Multiple attachments may now be attached to the FAQ article * RSS support has been relealized for public FAQ articles which means you will be informed about new posted FAQs Fixed bugs: ============ * Bug #2722 - Saving a category lead to an error if no comment was given. A validation has been added to ensure that a comment is mandatory. [ http://bugs.otrs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2722 ] * Bug #2445 - After installing the FAQ module and creating a new article, it was not possibe to select a category because of missing permission. A new check has been added to inform the user that permissions need to be set. [ http://bugs.otrs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2445 ] * Bug #2305, #1783 - After having used the FAQ while creating a ticket, OTRS now switches back to the ticket zoom instead of the FAQ explorer view which was a bug. The issue was caused by a database foreign key issue.
