Hi there I have the following problem, when I try to access the "SysConfig" tab in the admin menu, it presents the following error Can't locate object method "new" via package "XML::Parser::Lite" at /usr/share/otrs//Kernel/System/XML.pm line 781. For help, please send mail to the webmaster ( <mailto:webmaster@localhost> webmaster@localhost), giving this error message and the time and date of the error. OTRS::ITSM Modifying ConfigItem fields

Hi all! I did not find any documentation on how to modify the fields used by the "Config Item" classes definition. I would like to change the way a few fields are defined: for example I would like the "Vendor" field of the "Computer" class to be selected from a list of values and not a free-text field, the same for the "Model" field which should be a list dynamically composed depending on the value of the "Vendor" field. Anybody knows if this can be done ? It looks like the definition of all classes in the ConfigItem Management can be modified but I have no idea of which "Type" are acceptable by OTRS. I tried to use the GeneralCatalog classes (defining a new class and referencing it from the ConfigItem definition) but it is not satisfactory because it is too cumbersome. Manuel, I've found the problem! The OTRS database had a wrong charset, different from the server's default. Thanks for your help! Manuel, Do you have a charset which you suggest as the correct one ? Currently our test MSSQL Server is set for Latin1_General_CI_AS collation and it is a localized (italian) version (but I don't think this should be a problem). Thanks. Manuel, Thank you for your reply. I don't think the problem is in the packages as I used them on the MySQL installation without any problem. Do you think it could be a localization problem ? I mean some national settings on the MSSQL server ? Thanks.
