Upgrade from ITSM 1.1 to 1.2

Hi, are there some instructions for upgrading from ITSM 1.1 to 1.2? In the package list i can see the package "ITSMUpgradeTo12", but without any comments. Can someone tell me how and when to use it? When i update my OTRS Version to 2.3 all the old ITSM Packages are listed as incorrect installed. when i try to reinstall them i run into internal server errors. what is the exact procedure to follow? thanks and best regards -- Raphael Matter

Hi again, ok, now it worked - and wasn't that complicated. you mustn't do anything with the old ITSM packages and you also don't need the new packages. just install the ITSMUpgradeTo12 package and thats all. the only question which remains: are the old locations not migrated to the new configitem class "location" - together with the links? thanks and best regards -- Raphael Matter

Timeaccounting

Hello, I'm looking for some more information regarding the "Timeaccounting" module within OTRS. The FAQ page has some brief instructions about how to install and configure but I'd like some additional details of what the module does. Does it activate a clock to track how much time is spent on each ticket? Does it allow you to manually enter time spent on a ticket? Does anyone have more details? Thanks, Bryan

dear list, my idea is to add links in config-items (management-websites, fileserver-links, ...) realize maybe in that way: change in "config item class" where i an use a user defined type like url or href: structure maybe: { Key => 'mgmtif', Name => 'management-Sitelink', Searchable => 1, Input => { Type => 'href', Size => 50, MaxLength => 50, }, }, another idea is to mark the text for "NON PARSING" (input type='html') that i can insert html-text in den fields. do you have any ideas how can i make this thing working? regars from austria josy --------------------------------------- 400 Tonnen! Hello, Carlos! God damn it, it worked! :) I've got two instances of MySQL running... Hello, you all! I've got some problems installing the needed packages to get OTRS::ITSM running. Re: [itsm] retaing html formatting for incoming emails

Hi all, I presume this has been asked many times previously, but my searches have been fruitless. We have a privately hosted (intranet) OTRS and would like to keep html formatting intact for tickets created by email, due to our user's extensive use of inline screenshots. The only setting I've found which seems related is turning off the PostmasterAutoHTML2text, but this didn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks, Diggo

Inventory and tracking tool?

Can you use OTRS, or OTRS + ITSM to do inventory and tracking? We constantly send out devices for test and need to track who has them, where they are, etc. Also, if we could use OTRS to submit requests and returns too. Mainly, is there a way to have a "spreadsheet" type style of inventory and asset tracking? Thank you, Adam Nielson
